Cemeteries are the attempts to be remembered, loved, respected and even feared throughout time.  Modern times are destroying cemeteries and their individual identities for profit, for the disdain of religion and to destroy consciousness of previous history.  History is the enemy of the onslaught of modernism.  Religious desires and faith is a threat to the huge overbearing weight of modern materialism and conformity.  To expand on Luis Bunuel's thought, the terrible oppression of technology and science just may force one to the rational absurdity of a belief in God.
